Safety is always our top priority. This statement has once again manifested in the recently conducted mock fire and evacuation drills when order over speed was achieved during the said drills recorded a time of 3 minutes and 10 seconds in the morning drill and 2 minutes and 3 seconds in the afternoon. This safety exercise was held at Seri Mulia Sarjana School, Primary section last Tuesday morning and afternoon 23 January 2018.
Handled by well-trained Fire Marshalls, drills are done twice a year in SMSS to ensure that students and staff are prepared to respond swiftly in times of untoward emergency situations. Moreover, orientation on proper exits and evacuation areas are regularly conducted to bring awareness to everyone. Much as we pay attention to academics, equally important is providing a safe environment to learners.
The recent fire drill has provided our students not only an awareness on safety and security in the school premises but also an experience that they can apply at home and anywhere else.
