Taking the initiative to further enhance the skills and knowledge of teachers in the field of speech and drama, the Office of Student Activities collaborated with Trinity College London (TCL) in organizing a seminar-workshop for SMSS and SMSIS teachers. Selected teachers across all sections went through the basics of teaching and learning speech and drama as well as the theories behind it. After taking some time to discover the Trinity College London syllabus, all teachers were grouped according to their section to learn more about the guidelines on achieving certificates credited by TCL. Moreover, each group was tasked to come up with an impromptu performance such as a musical drama, a mime, and a monologue. These performances provided a lot of good fun and enjoyment among the participants; showcasing their talents in performing arts. The facilitator, Ms Chiew Mun Theng, gave her insightful feedback after each performance and was obviously delighted with the output of all groups. Presentation of certificates to teachers and a token of appreciation to the facilitator followed right after. It was an afternoon that was certainly productive for everyone involved.
