Year 2 Sarjana students began their journey into the We Are What We Eat IPC-MLJ learning unit on Tuesday, 14th January, with an engaging class picnic as the entry point activity. The picnic aimed to raise awareness about healthy and unhealthy habits by encouraging students to explore the food and drinks they brought from home. In a relaxed and fun environment, students unpacked their meals and participated in discussions about their food choices.
Teachers guided them in classifying their items as healthy and unhealthy, explaining the benefits of nutritious food for energy, growth and overall well-being. This activity encouraged students to reflect on their eating habits and think critically about the nutritional value of their meals. By fostering collaboration and sharing, the class picnic set the stage for further discussions and activities in the learning unit, inspiring students to make mindful and healthier food choices.
