On 30th January 2021, our Kindergarten 1 experimented with different activities for their new IEYC Entry Point on ‘Little Movers Make Giant Strides’. This unit emphasizes the importance of physical activity and develops learners’ awareness of the different ways their bodies can move to enhance coordination and spatial awareness. Each class was set up with different activities which promote movement and play. They had an interesting time carrying out many interesting investigations including exploring movement by getting their hands and feet busy, identifying different textures. The stations included tunnel crawl, balance beam, obstacle tires, hoops skipping, busy sticky wall, sandpaper art, hop on pop, bubble wrap road, bubble wrap sensory table, tweezer, and pompom, lacing straws, playdough, jelly sensory bags.
