Our creative group of Kindergarten 3 students had a fun–time as they explored the fantastical world of fairytales, folktales, fables and legends for their IEYC Unit ‘Once Upon A Time’ Entry Point last 6th February 2021. This unit is dedicated to the theme of ‘storytelling’ and aims to foster an appreciation for reading. The day started with a ‘Parade of Book Characters’ and then followed by a fashion show. Dressed in their favourite book characters, each of them went up the stage to introduce themselves and flaunt their costumes to their friends. The event then continued in their respective classrooms where the children had a chance to participate in a show and tell activity describing their characters to their friends, storytelling and singing ‘Once Upon A Time’. Finally, three best costumes were chosen to be awarded at the coming exit point.
