Lockdown drills have become an increasingly common practice in schools in recent years, and SMSS Preschool Section is no exception. The first lockdown drill of the year was conducted on 18th March 2023 led by the school’s Chief Fire Marshal, Miss Nurwafaa’ Izzati Binti Zaharuddin. The procedure went well, with teachers cooperating and students understanding that when they hear the alarm on the PA system, they should clear the hallways, lock their classroom doors, and keep away from windows and doors. This drill is necessary to ensure that teachers and students are prepared for emergency situations and are familiar with the life-saving HSE measures.
