To culminate their IEYC Dinosaur Detectives Unit, our curious learners from Kindergarten 2 had the opportunity to go for ‘The Mesozoic Explorers Trip’. The highly anticipated trip was aimed at immersing the students in a scientific environment and exploring dinosaurs and replicas of fossils of various kinds stretching from prehistoric to present-day times.
During the excursion, students were introduced to different dinosaurs and specimens by the facilitators, Dr. Bibi and Dr. Charles. The learning then continued with a neat dinosaur fossil excavation activity where they dug up fossils in the sand and found interesting things such as small dinosaur toys and a shark tooth. Before the end of the day, the students gathered to watch a scientific volcanic eruption. Everyone giggled in excitement as the volcanic bubble eruption continued to build. It was definitely an exciting sight for our little scientists!
