Over the next few weeks, our Kindergarten 3 students will be meeting some very fascinating machines and learning about their uses in the new unit called ‘Press It, Click It’.
They had an exciting start of the unit on Monday, 3rd October 2022 with a show and tell presentation titled ‘I am a Robotic Technology’. This exercise intends to provide children with the experience to do presentations, teach them about robotic technology and give them opportunities to communicate their thoughts about technology. Each student arrived in their do-it-yourself robot costume, which they had created at home with the help of their parents using upcycled boxes and a few easy supplies. On the day, everyone was eager to show their friends what they had dressed up as. There were many imaginative costumes including a robot chef, a dancing robot, and a robot princess. It was amazing to see everyone engaged in the activity and it definitely sparked their interest in the unit!
