Demonstrating love and loyalty to the beloved Monarch, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, about 16 students of Year 4 Cemerlang Class and 12 SMSS teachers flocked to the capital on Monday, 15th July 2019 to join the whole nation in celebrating HM’s 73rd birthday.

Joining the huge number of students from across the districts, the ‘Sarjanians’ lined up the main roads and cheerfully waved their mini national flags as His Majesty, together with the rest of the members of the Royal Family made their way to Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien, the focal point of the Grand Parade.

For the ‘Sarjanians’, flag waving was not just a simple participation but a gesture of patriotism. It was not just a simple partaking in the said celebration but a ‘real’ learning experience that provided them the opportunity of witnessing the true essence of unity, love and undivided loyalty to the ruler of the country.
