Our Secondary students enjoyed a full day of fun and entertainment on 23rd
July 2022 as they held the first ever Sparkle Stage Time in conjunction with
the school’s 30th founding anniversary specifically highlighting the cultural
individuality, creative talents, sports agility, and awarding ceremony of
students from the first and second term competitions. It was a festival-style of
spontaneous events, featuring live music; exhibits from the Art Avenue, Arts
and Craft, Indian Culture, Filipino Culture and Warisan Budaya; basketball,
netball and badminton tournaments.
The highlights of the day that enthralled the audience were a heart-warming
song number from the Champions in the National Big 5 Acapella Competition
2022 with their rendition of the song titled Tanah Airku, followed by the
awarding ceremony for our secondary students’ outstanding achievements in
different notable competitions held recently. The awarding was led by the
Principal of the Secondary Section, Gazala binti Abdullah and Deputy
Principal for Academics Mary Joan Espiritu. An outstanding repertoire of
songs from the talented Musical Ensemble and an energetic number from
Dance Synergie amused the students and teachers. An unveiling of the 30th
–
anniversary mural featured a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours: an avant-garde
depiction of students who shine in the field of sports, performing arts and
academics. It presents how the talents and skills of Sarjanians are honed.
This mural is likewise a collaborative artistic effort of students and teachers
demonstrating oneness in obtaining multiple achievements geared towards
the school’s vision.
