On Saturday, 17th September 2022, the highly anticipated fun-filled ‘IEYC WOW DAY: A Celebration of Learning’ was held in Preschool Section to culminate and celebrate the outstanding learning accomplishments of our ‘little’ Sarjanians. After missing the celebration for two consecutive years due to the pandemic, the school has once again opened its doors to all our parents to witness their children’s achievements.
On this eventful day, each student was awarded their Students’ Personal Goal Achievement Awards to promote and positively acknowledge their effort in reflecting the school values throughout the academic year. There was a variety of fun and engaging activities lined up for the students such as learning walks which displayed their learning processes in each IEYC unit, interactive activities in the learning stations, face painting, photobooth, and Animal Show. The school also took this opportunity
to appoint Volunteer Parents Committee (VPC) Class Representatives for 2023.
Perhaps the biggest highlight which truly captured the pride of SMSS was the captivating intermission numbers by our well-rounded Sarjanians which included ‘Joget’ Performance by Kindergarten 1, a dance performance titled ‘Iko Iko’ by Kindergarten 2, a song performance titled ‘Sun, Moon, and Stars’ by Kindergarten 3, and a choir performance by Primary students. Parents and teachers also impressed the audience as they belted out their favourite songs in the ‘Open Mic’ Friendly Karaoke
Competition.
It was indeed a memorable day for everyone and a big thank you to the whole Sarjana Community for your part in realising this event!
