Two goals in one event!
The 16 groups of Year 6 students successfully held this year’s Young Entrepreneurship
Day dubbed ‘Cultural- Preneurship’ on Tuesday, 28th February.
Cultural – Preneurship is a combination of celebrating the seven Brunei ethnic groups in
conjunction with Brunei’s 39th National Day and exposing ‘Sarjanians’ to incomegenerating activity at an early age, and at the same time seeing the bigger picture of this kind of project and inculcate amongst children the good side of doing business as well as to expose them to be more confident communicators.
Dressed in traditional costumes of Brunei-Muara, Tutong, Belait, Kedayan, Dusun, Bisaya
and Murut, the host groups displayed their great potential and creativity in selling an array of products from stationeries down to items made out of recyclable materials and their own hand-made products.
A round of applause to the Social Studies Department for instilling in the students’ minds
the importance of being independent earners through networking and mentoring and remaining rooted to the cultures and traditions of the seven Brunei Ethnic groups.
